Database Question

In your install instructions, you point out either

1) Setting up a new Database for reviewpost

or

2) Using an existing Database

Could you explain the pros and cons of each? Basically why one way is better then the other as well as if anything doesn't work if done one way over another.

Thank you for your time, I appriciate it

Really no pros or cons either way. You need a database for reviewpost tables. The only pro to the situation is if your integrating with a 3rd party forum you might want to install in the database of the forum so there is no switching databases back and forth like in vb3 when your showing a thumbnail block of reviews on the forum index page etc.

However another pro to setting every application to a new database is that say also in the instance of VB3 and your integrate with it vb3 is a database hog so putting reviewpost in a new database when you have a huge forum database will actually mean reviewpost will be faster since its database is smaller so its a give and take in however you do it.

I personally use separate databases.
