Users cannot post / upload

We installed reviewpost w/out problems...it is using vbulletin userdb.

The admins and mods can post / upload to reviewpost but not the members.

I have checked the usergroups permissions and the categories permissions and all seems ok there... where should I look to resolve this problem?

I would double check to ensure you have imported all usergroups.

I use Reviewpost with VB3 and I can not replicate this. If I login as a regular user account I have to test things with I can upload post comments etc for any category I allow

You might also want to check out your category permissions since you state usergroups are apparently set right. If in your category editor you do not have upload status set for categories they will not be able to upload to those cats.

OK... I did alittle test.

I went to VB3 created a test user... logged in and could not post anything, I didn't even see the "post a review" link.

I went into VB3 and created a new user group. I modified my test user and made him a member only of this new user group. On this usergroup I setup permissions in Reviewpost for the usergroups and categories just like the registered users. I logged back in as my test user and was able to post a review ... etc... any ideas ?

Your usergroups tables do not look like VB3. Here is a snap of a normal vb3 usergroup
from my reviewpost

1 Unregistered / Not Logged
2. Registered Users
3 Users Awaiting Email Conf
4. (COPPA) Users Awaiting Mo
5 Super Moderators
6 Administrators
7 Moderators
8 Banned

This is the vb3 default groups.

Did you switch integrations? install with the wrong integration in the beginning?

I'm guessing that since we upgraded from ubb to vb3 that's why the usergroups don't quite match up.

Any suggestions?

This would be your issue I assume.

When you switch integrations the best thing would be to view your usergroups table in phpmyadmin

Delete every entry except Administrators. Reassign that to have a groupid of 6 and cpaccess should of course by 1

Then simply login to admin edit usergroups and refresh usergroups from the forum and set the appropriate permissions

I've noticed that when refreshing the usergroups in RP from vB, some of the existing permission settings on existing user groups get changed. Why doesn't it maintain the same settings when refreshing? I would only expect to have to fix any new user groups that were added.

I have similar issue on new install integraded with current vb3.07.
1.) When saving usergroups permissions and then refreshing usergroups for forum - Allow Reviews? reverts back to no.

2.) When saving usergroups permissions - Allow Reviews? says yes for groups but no one can see the reviews link anyway to submit a review.

This issue for Allow Reviews? is for all usergroups! No one can review any of the products.

All categories have permissions set yes for all. No restrictions are set in cats.

Any help would be greatly appreciated ;-)

Thanks and have a splendid day ;-)
