Angry Yet another bug Forbidden You don't have permission to access....

Ok, I don't believe that this is happening - I would like to say a couple of bad words about ReviewPost (yet another bug that I have encountered - I just how to wonder how many there still are) but I think it's the best to take a deep breath....

Ok, what happened - originally I had set the picture/thumbnail size to 300 pixels. Now I decided that I should lower that so I set that to 250 and then saved. Everything ok so far - then I went to Scan database and checked the rebuild thumbnails" option and clicked proceed - > everything okagain.

Then I went back to see the results ->

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /arviot on this server.

The whole program doens't work anymore. I can't access any of the pages....

Ok, found the reason - for some reason when I ran that rebuild thumbnails ReviewPost set the RP root folder (like /reviews .... ) access rights to:
drw-rw-rw-

No wonder apache didn't grant access to that directory.

This is even better... That.... crawled thorugh my web server root directory and changed access rights of certain directories to

drwx---rwx

and then some of the files under those directories have 777 permissions.

Umm.. can you give me more details because for some reason it seems that instead of going through /reviews/data... it went thought / and then changed some of the directories like /templates etc...

What I said is it sounds to me like a server problem not one of our software.

If you set the directory and file permissions per the installation instructions and your server later on drops them than it would be a server issue and you might want to contact your host. There is nothing in our software that would do it
