Question Bulk upload of photos *AND* product description

How do I perform a bulk upload of the photos *AND* the product description?

All of the comments I've seen only describe placing images in your upload directory and then selecting the bulk upload option from the admin tool.

I would like to seed my database with about 1000 products - each with an image and the basic description of the product.

Is there a specific comma delimited file format that I should use to make this happen? Or will reviewpost only support the bulk import of images?

I am using Review post 2.82.

Thank You

I would also very much like to be able to do something like this from either an Excel CSV file or Access database file. It would make the bulk uploading of products a LOT quicker and easier.

We support bulkupload of images as our script handles it. You upload via ftp all the images to the data directory and process them.

If you choose to write a cvs file or comma delimited file that matches our products table entries you can import products without images say via phpmyadmin. Or you can write some special script to read your cvs whichever.

The way I see it would first to run the bulkupload of images. I've not tried it before - does that then process all the images and ask you for a product name?

The way I see it would then for me to make a note of 'product ID' and enter that into my CSV file to then process through phpmyadmin (or similar)

What would the correct format / order be?

You would view your products table format to see what format you would need to write a csv for it

As far as the bulkupload process it works the same in all our products.

You upload images to the users uploads directory and then select to bypass upload and process files in uploads directory. You will then be presented with thumbnails and boxes to fill in title description extra fields etc for all the different thumbs.

Am I right to assume that I would only upload the first / primary image for each product and then add photos 2 - 6 for each product manually one by one afterwards?

I've eventually got around to trying the bulk upload in Reviewpost and it doesn't seem to be working.

Even though 'Skip upload and process the files in your upload directory' is ticked I can't progress any further unless I've added text to the product title and description fields.

When I click on submit I get the screen as shown in the attachment. Clicking on submit keeps me stuck in a loop and brings me back to the same screen (as shown in the attachment).

There are no attachments in this thread so I am lost a little on what your saying is the exact error. On bulk upload normally you type in a title and description for each photo and go forward.

Where is this at and what version? I am not familiar with a screen such as that within Reviewpost. That looks like an extremely old version.
