Well of course that was the whole point of the "How Do I..." question in this thread. If I knew what variable to use and how to format it, I wouldn't be asking the question.

What I'm looking to to is to add a link with a user's review that allows you to click it and see their other reviews. This could be in the far left column under the user's profile pic and quick stats, or at the bottom where you suggested, to the right of the vb4 profile and other buttons.

I suspect at this point I just need the correct variable to replace $iuserid, but I'm not a coder and can't seem to find the relevant one in the showproduct template (or other template if applicable to the left column member profile on the side of each review).

Okay lets clarify a few things here.

How do I is a forum where you ask questions on how to operate something in the program not hack or mod it.

PhotoPost just like vbulletin does not support or assist with code hacking. I try and help you guys out the best I can but I really do not appreciate semi flip remarks as in that is why I am here in the how do I forum as that usually will get someone the stock answer like over at vb. Go discuss mods outside support. I know you know the rules I know I have explained this before.

Your comment kind of sounds like I am suppose to know exactly what your doing which of course I do not. I am not the one hacking the code. I gave you a link that works in one place thats it here. I merely said you would need to use the correct variable where ever you decide to hack things.

If your trying to put a link in the postline then you would need to do so in the actual postline where it is formed in the vb3.php integration file under the forums subdirectory and use the variable $cuserid. That is the last hint I will give here.

For anyone else looking to do the same, the variable isn't called out in showproduct template which is why I could not find anything that worked. On a whim I tried this and it seems to work within the review sub-section of the showproduct template: $ucuserid[$x]

or:

Code:

Hi- not a flip remark at all. I'm not a coder. I run a website and want to make it as friendly to my members and visitors as possible. I understand that you may not know how to do something or be able to give a response on how to do something if it qualifies as a code hack. In that case, perhaps someone else would know. I take it the "How do I" forum is not the best choice for this then? Apologies if this thread was misplaced. Is there a non support forum here that reaches other reviewpost users?

Incidentally, works perfectly now, both in the left column under the reviewer's profile and at the bottom of the review. Very handy feature, possibly worth consideration for a future version. My apologies again if this crossed the line from a how-do-i to an unsupported modification.

I know your comment might not have been meant that way the point I was making is it sounded that way which in turn is why I explained the rules. It was very clear to both of us from the beginning this was not a support question.

Mod questions can be posted in the mod forums and there is no guarantee you would get any type of response from anyone.

I have the distinction now, sorry! You can refer me to this post in a few months when I forget where to post how-to code questions again;-) Or feel free to move this thread there which would be fine with me also. Obviously I understand unsupported code modifications may not have a wide audience for those who might be able to help, but it's better than nothing!

No harm no foul.

Like I said no problem I just need to explicitly explain the rules when I start seeing comments that are geared towards customers expect me to assist them with code mods so there is no issue.
