A couple of errors after new install of v6.01

I just installed ReviewPost v6.01 that is integrated with vBulletin 4.2 and I'm getting a couple of errors (Warnings) on the admin panel, the first occurs in the upper left-hand corner...

Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in [path]/reviews/adm-misc.php on line 2410

The second occurs after clicking on Edit Settings > All Options...

Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in [path]/reviews/adm-misc.php on line 2720

Any help in getting these fixed would be greatly appreciated.

Interesting did you finish the install? Installed the phrases?

Your errors seem to indicate your phrases do not exist. You can post a url for us to look at but I would suggest you try installing the phrases.

Yes, I assume that I did. The installation took me to a screen that had the option to install the phrases, I clicked on it and continued with the rest of the installation of ReviewPost.

The URL to the ReviewPost installation is Main Index - My Product Gallery

How would I install the phrases at this point if I failed to do it already?

I would need to look at your site you can send me an admin login and ftp info to check out the files through the contact us link in our site header.

Thank you enormously, Chuck, for the quick response and fix! :)

Not a problem glad to assist let me know if you have any other questions.

PaulK September 17th, 2012 10:44 AM

Chuck, I had to re-install ReviewPost and get the same errors. Can you please tell me what you did to fix it the first time? I hate to be a bother by asking the same questions to fix the same problems.

Did you install your phrases? Does the phrase table exist?

I think if I remember correct I reinstalled the phrases or ran the last couple upgrades just to cover if you missed anything.

Maybe your server is having an issue with something on install endemic to your mysql version maybe just a guess. I have done a brand new install within the last few weeks and had no issues.

The query error your posting has to do with trying to grab your phrases to display the admin options.

When I look in phpMyAdmin, rp_phrases exists so I assume that I installed them. How can I reinstall the phrases?

Chuck S September 17th, 2012 01:36 PM

Let me try looking up your email and see if I can find the access details and try and determine what your issue might be.

Like I said if I do a clean install I am not seeing any issues.

PaulK September 17th, 2012 02:07 PM

It would be appreciated very much, Chuck. It is odd that the same issue does not happen when installing PhotoPost Pro or PhotoPost Classifieds.

Chuck S September 17th, 2012 02:10 PM

Yes well the strange part is I can not replicate it ;)

at any rate I do not seem to be able to find your email with the details you sent so you would have to send them again or tell me what email you used. There are no emails to use from your gmail account which is the only one I have to search for prior contact.

I would like to see why your site has an issue running those queries so if possible make sure to send info also that I can see phpmyadmin to run those queries in your database and see exactly what the true issue is.

PaulK September 17th, 2012 06:42 PM

I just sent another message via the "Contact Us" link at the top of the page.

Thank you again, Chuck.

Chuck S September 17th, 2012 06:52 PM

Thanks will check it out and see.

Chuck S September 17th, 2012 07:15 PM

found your issue specific to your mysql and I should be able to alter the install for that.

You had a mixture of collations some tables utf8_general and come utf8_unicode.

Had not known exactly whether you had done an install upgrade etc last time I probally ran through the last couple upgrades and reimported phrases and saw your issue was fixed.

Running the affected query in phpmyadmin first I was able to see what your specific issue was and why I was able to install with no issues. Your specific mysql probally has locked down to work with one specific collation across tables.

PaulK September 17th, 2012 08:11 PM

Thank you again, Chuck! Unfortunately looking at mysql tables is like reading Greek for me (I don't have a clue about either).

Chuck S September 17th, 2012 09:39 PM

Not a problem glad to help. the phpmyadmin access made it real easy to see what the issue was and why ;)
