Separating database

For whatever reason, when we originally installed ReviewPost, it appears that we chose the option to integrate the software with the forum's database.

Was that a mistake, from a performance standpoint?

Is there a way to separate the databases?

It is a personal decision really. You will hear arguements on both sides. I use separate databases always just like things clean like that. Really the bigger databases are then it really is an issue of speed you want things separated

You can move your reviewpost tables to any new database you create. Just make sure when you do that that you update the config-inc.php file with the proper database information for the reviewpost.
