Text not parsed in category description

I am running into a problem when I click on a category. If the listing has linked text, you can see the the html syntax. How do I fix this?

I attached a screenshot to as an example.

HMM let me check things and see what I find. I thought we stripped html tags completely out of the showcat display of products to avoid html issues.

I have not seen anything it would help if you tell me what the exact description you are using is. We do strip all html tags from a description on showcat.php

The tags are stripped.

The reason tags are stripped is because the description is limited and when doing so and allowing html tagging then you can break the page.

So there is no solution to make that look better in my instance? How do I change the character limit for the description? or What template or file do I edit to delete the description entirely and just have the "product name" and "posted by"?

Your issue looks to me like your allowing html and your user has posted full html with target statements etc. strip_tags can only remove tags not erroneous information.

Your free to edit your showcat template and remove whatever you wish.
