Too many Categories?

Is there a hard limit on the number of Categories and/or sub-categories in ReviewPost5?

I have added 1 top-level cat, which has 12 sub-categories. Some of the 12 sub-cats have their own sub-cats.

I just tried to add my 13th sub-cat and when I got sent back to "edit categories" i only see my 1 top-level cat!

But, when I navigate the site, all the sub-cats still display -- I just can't get to them to re-org if I need to break them into multiple top-level cats (which I guess I'm ok with, if I have to go that route, but i thought i might have 1 or more top-levels w/ multiple sub-cats....).

I hope I didn't break something....

current hierarchy

in case this helps, the attached screen shot illustrates the number/depth of cats I have created, and where things stopped working...

all is good when viewing the site, but on the admin side all i see under "edit categories" is the top-level cat...

ummm, nevermind...

turns out that if I click on the link that is the top-level cat it goes to a subsequent page w/ my "missing" sub-cats. guess that happens when you get past a certain number of subcats...

makes sense

but gave me a bit of a tight chest when they all disappeared. clouded my vision so i didn't see the link on the top-level cat name.

much relief...
