Stuck with ratings for quick reply It's not showing on my quick reply. Created a test user, it's category setting for These checked usergroups can post to this category, unless a usergroup's overall posting access is disabled is checked. In the admin section for product options Allow members to rate products? is set to yes Usergroup options Registered usergroup allow comment is set to yes. Doesn't show though. If I click the Post A Review button then it shows up on the next page no problem. I've read the other posts concerning this and made sure all my options are set correct but can't get it to show. Also how can I do it to force a user to rate a product? Product is reviewpost 4.1 |
The ratings bar only appears if the product your rating is NOT your own |
Yes, I know. Got that from other posts. I created another user to test it out and it's still not showing up. That user was not the product poster. Only shows up if I click that Post a review button. |
you can sent info through the contact us link in the header of our site |
Sent it in. Almost ready to go live with this. Got a last quick question. Since I put all the products myself, there is no need to have the poster under the image in the random box or most recent. I was looking for the template to remove the user that posted up the product from the side and bottom boxes. I found this in the undercat.tmpl Code: Content visible to verified customers only.Is it straight forward to get rid of the user (would love to put the average rating there instead but would be satisfied just to remove the user). If it requires to edit a php file, which one would it be? Thanks for all the help Chuck. |
edit your feature and featurepal templates and remove the puser variables as far as your issue that you sent in info I will look at that when in my office in the am. |
Worked perfect. Thank you. |
Chuck, I found the glitch to this rating problem. I was playing with these two settings in the integration settings. Do you want to enable the vB3 Enahnced features which use vB3 controls in ReviewPost? If using the Enhanced option above, do you want to enable the vB3 WYSIWYG control in Post Reviews? If I have them both at yes, my ratings disappear. If I have them both at no, the ratings show up. Tested in both IE and Firefox. Works fine now. Is there any way to make the ratings mandatory? It would be the most import field for my project. Thanks again for all the help you've provide thus far. |
HMM I will have to look at what would make that dissapear. No way to make it mandatory without you coding something like that into the software there is no setting for that |
