RP 4.2: best rated products do not appear on index page

RP 4.2

in ACP I can select, that the best rated/ top rated products shall appear on the index page (side bar). But when I enable this option, nothing appears.

Only most viewed products and top posters are showing up.

What did I do wrong?

I beleive its simply a wording issue. It is suppose to be most popular or most viewed.

How could I change the code of most "topviewedpal.tmpl" then, so that only the "real" top 5 rated products do appear instead of most viewed?

Possibly in pp-inc.php change the query from ORDER by views to ORDER BY rating for the query in get_ratingscache

Hi

no, I do not want to change the sort order. I do want to display it in an extra box on the index page. This is why I was referring to the sidebar options in ACP and mentioned the topviewedpal.tmpl.

Within the topviewedpal.tmpl, there is the code for showing the top 5 viewed products:

Content visible to verified customers only.

How can I change this code to display the top 5 rated products?

That is what I stated above. You can change the html title to say highest rated instead of most viewed but really to have them displayed top rated not top viewed you need to change the sort. Thats how its done.

Top Viewed is

ORDER BY views DESC

Top rated would be

ORDER BY rating DESC
