Is there a way to take things out without having to physically edit the code?

I recently upgraded my review software to the most recent version, but I already have a link to my forums in the header, so I don't need another one in the header for the review software. Addtionally, I don't want Messages, Subscriptions, Member List, etc. in their either as I have the software integrated with my forums and that takes care of all of those items.

Is there a way to remove these without having to go in and physically edit the code of the software?

(I really hate having to edit code over and over again every time I upgrade...)

You can turn off messaging in global options to get rid of that.

You would though have to remove links like the forum subscriptions memberlist in the top menu function in pp-inc.php.

These are all things users have wanted so I guess you cant please everyone as everyone has different ideas.

Would it be possible to add something in the admin menu to turn it off then instead of having to edit code every time it gets upgraded?
