How can I add in the 'ratings' piece into the quick reply?

How can I add in the 'ratings' piece into the quick reply?

I want to have the quick reply box have the ability to add the 'rating' (from 1 to 10) because most folks are automatically using the quick reply and forgetting to rate the item/location.

Can you explain how to go about this?

The rating bar is there for all users it just is not there if you are trying to rate your own products. You I beleive also have to have allow users to rate under admin options set to yes also.

Logged in as a 'regular registered user' and it's not showing....

Since it's not showing, I guess I have to adjust something in the admin options. Where am I supposed to adjust it within the admin?

Allow members to rate products?

Should be in show product options.

Chuck, members have always been able to rate the products. That's not the issue.

As I stated in the first post of this thread, the members are entering all of the information in the quick reply and submitting. The problem is that the ratings option is not showing on the quick reply window which means that they are not rating the product.

I want to add the option to the quick reply so that they can simply do everything on that one window and not have to do a full reply or edit their review to add the ratings in afterward.

Here are two examples of what I'd like to do....

HOW CAN WE DO THIS?

RP1.2.jpg

OR THIS?

RP1.1.jpg

....and, I'd like to make a dropdown for the 1 to 10 rating.

View of the lake and trees - Omegatron.net Reviews

login with testing and testing it shows for me.

The conditional is this right in quickcom template. Basically it means that if they are allowed to post reviews and that setting I noted is yes and they are not the person who uploaded the product they can rate it.

I've logged into your test area there and it shows. But, for some reason it's not showing for me on my site as "Admin" or as a "Registered User".

I'll take a look tonight because I'm hoping that it's just some sort of setting that I just have to adjust. As you see in my screen captures above your last post, it's not showing on mine as of now. Do you know if there are some settings within the RP admin that could be causing it not to show on mine?

As stated these are the settings.

1. In usergroup options users have to have permission to post reviews.

2. This setting in admin must be yes.

Allow members to rate products?

3. The user posting the review can not be the one who posted the product.

I'm in the ReviewPost AdminCP and clicked on "Edit Usergroups" and got that page with all of the usergroup names and various access options. For registered users, I have the following options...

Admin Access: NO
Mod Access: NO
Upload Ads: NO
Allow Comments: YES
Edit Products: NO
Edit Reviews: NO
Require Approval: NO
Products Per Day Limit: 0

....since none of them state 'permission to post reviews', I wanted to make sure that I listed them all.

Ratings bar shows for those users whom have permission to comment and rate and remember you can not rate your own product so it will never show for you. You must view someone elses product.

I'm having the same issue. I have checked global setting for allow rate and usergroup setting for allow review. Reviews.php shows the rate options clearly, but quickcom does not.

I tried a fresh, un-modified quickcom367.tmpl file still didn't work. I have tested with a different user as well.

My Photopost quickrate works perfectly.

The ratings bar only shows up for products that you have not posted.
