recent reviewpost reviews in vbportal modules???

I'm trying to figure out how to get my 3 latest reviews to show up in a forum side block in vbportal. Does anyone have any clue how to do this?

Thanks!
Buster

You might want to check and see if anything has wrote a hack like this in THE MOD CORNER.

This may be similar to what I was asking here that we never got resolved.

It seems like it would be as easy as creating a vbportal php module and then a block but I'm kinda lost getting vbportal and reviewpost to work together on this one.

Thanks Chuck!

All you can do is see if someone has written a hack like that.

well I searched for vbportal through the entire forum and saw nothing except for my posts.

Is this really a HACK. Doesn't seem like it would be considered a hack.

Of course yes this would be a hack. Your talking about some code in vbportal. This is not a discussion about functionality that exists in our product. Anytime you want something that is outside the base functionality of the product or in another product as is the case here you want to create code in vbportal then it is a hack. It is something not included within the reviewpost released code.

Well I still don't consider it a hack b/c to do this you're not altering the distributed code of a program and that isn't required to do this. you know that. you have something similar working in your own vbportal on your own site for recent gallery images unless you didn't do it like this.

I was simply asking if anyone with experience with vbportal had an idea as to how to get reviewpost info to post to a vbportal block.

For anyone else that needs this information, it is as simple as adding a block from the vbportal admin, block manager and using this code for the block:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.

It would be considered a hack because your using code you just made up to display something outside our program. Part of it is code your stripping from our program sure and the rest you made up.

We only control and support the code we write and release. We control what is under the reviewpost directory. I hope that clarifies things for you.
