Lightbulb Multiple Ratings per Product/Item

Hey Chuck,

I am not entirely sure whether this should be posted as a 'Suggestion for New Release' - I decided to stick it here because I am sure the following can be achieved somehow.

I assume it is possible to include multiple ratings per product/item by modifying the appropriate templates. However, it would be nice if a subsequent release included a setting that allows the administrator to request multiple lines of feedback from members.

For example: Let's rate Restaurants. Currently, the product allows members to rate their experience along one single dimension [am I right?] That makes the rating somewhat 'flat'; members may rate their experience 'average' despite the food being completely-off-the-chart-good but dragged-down by service, which may have been dismally bad.

So, concretely, how could each review been given multiple ratings such as:

food = [rating]
service = [rating]
price = [rating]
....

The restaurant's main page could/should then show the polling results of each dimension.

A subsequent release could include settings that allows the administrator to elect/select a number of rating dimensions [s]he would like to offer members, and specify what value each dimension represents.

All in all, not much different from vb's standard 'polling' function actually...

Thoughts/ideas/comments?

Cheers!

The customer service template has 3 separate ratings. You can also define unlimited additional review fields in the product.

Additional Reviewfields

Chuck,

Exactly what I was talking about.

May need a bit more of your wisdom on how to add two more review/rating dimensions to Customer Service template.

Also, could you take a quick look at the attachment - field title text 'crops.' How to change this?

what do you mean how to change it? You can edit language strings as you see fit

As far as adding new ratings not really a way to do them as they are done without lots of coding.
