Encouraging visitors to Register/Login

How can I have one line appear somewhere on the screen saying, "Register and log in now!" or something like that - showing on every page, if they are an unregistered visitor browsing. But, have that line disappear and not show on any page if they are logged in?

Thank you

In Admin => Index options set the news box to display and type a message in there

Thanks for the answer. The problem with the news box is that it shows for everyone, whether they are unregistered or registered and logged in. I want something that shows only to visitors who are not logged in.

I have made a temporary solution, by editing the language string 'welcome' which I think is only used if they are not logged in. But this doesn't put it where I really want it.

yeah not without editing and creating some type of hack you cant do that. I dont know what your doing but this would be what it would look like
