Zip Codes? Manual? Fields?

I've owned RP for a long time but have yet to really use it. I was hoping that v.3 would be more friendly but I'm finding that it's still very challenging to use and there aren't any help files to let me know where anything is. At present, is there a manual or quick start guide?

The problem I'm having is that I want to put up restaurant reviews but I can't seem to (a) find where zip codes are enabled which it seems are supposed to be included and I'd also like for users to be able to search for a restaurant within a radius, and (b) how to add/remove/change names of the default fields currently entered, (c) I'd find it hard to believe but is there no built in function or ability to include a mapping feature, e.g. Google Maps/Mapquest API?

What I'm apprehensive about is that it seems everything has to be edited manually in several templates and it's not as simple as adding a variable which gets included in the input and out put fields displayed in each template. Worse, it seems you need to manually make database entries to include more than the very few input fields?

I'm guessing and hoping that I'm missing some obvious items. Hopefully someone can help point me in the right direction.

well I guess this all depends how your looking at this or doing this. Zipcodes are enabled right in admin options.

As far as the ability to add fields to categories and reviews this is all in admin edit categories. Then on uploading of a product you will see the fields to answer as well as placing a review of a product.
