Quick Reply Review Box (WYSIWIG) not showing

Hello all,

Couple of things I wanted to check on.

First thing is that when a user is logged in, the Quick Reply review box is not showing, thus not allowing a quick review. If you click on post a review, it works fine, and the editor is there. I attached a pic of this (quickreply.jpg). Is it a setting, or template problem?

Another thing is a thumbnail appearing right above every new product added. can I remove that somehow, I havent seen this on other installs, but cant find what setting is driving that? Also pic attached called toppic.jpg. Its the little thumbnail right above the listing I would like to remove.

Thanks!

thumbnail to the right of every product thats not a thumbnail thats the actual image display and one does not remove it. It is an integratral portion of the display. You are free to modify code as you wish but it is not covered by product support as we support things as written.

As far as your commment box not showing do you have any vb hacks installed that alter your vb comments box as the correct course of action here would be to remove the offending hack in vb plugins and your comments box should show again.

Ok, I do have some hacks for for the comment box, i will try removing them and see what happens.

as for the thumbnail, I am actually referring to the top image, not the one to the right. I posted a pic of techimo product page, it has an image to the right, and then the thumbs below it, but does not have a thumb above the product listing. Is that something they modified, or changed? If you look at both, you see mine has an extra pic that techimo (and other sites) do not have.

You can turn on or off the next previous images in Admin => Show Product Options

Enable next and previous product previews?

well when people integrate products they deal with the default programs so hacks can cause issues and are the number one issue when problems arise or security issues arise.

***Edit*** I have made a little progress on this, when i disable
Quote:
Statistics Bar
Display Statistics Pal?
it goes back to normal, with it enabled, the template is off. I would like to use the stat bar, I am not sure why its affecting it, its not any wider than the other boxes, Random products, and most viewed.
***Edit***

Ok, I will keep that in mind, thanks.

I have been changing some setting in the admin panel, and think I caused this somehow. Now my template is off (link removed) and I cant seem to get it right again

I havent installed any new mods or anything, all i been doing is tinkering with different options in the admin panel as far as what to display and where to show it, etc.. havent modified anything template related or config related. You have any clue where i could start with this?

Ok, I think we can scratch this for now. Adding to the above, I can enable Display Statistics Pal and also enable Use Whos Online PAL and it works. If i disable Use Whos Online PAL, it throws off the template again, very strange....

I know, sorry. The template was off (stretched screen outside footer/header), but once I enabled Display Statistics Pal and Whos Online PAL together, it played nice. Disable one or the other, it doesnt play nice with my template. So, all good for now, sorry for the confusion.

No hacks installed here, but I do have quickreply disabled on the main forum.

Sure would be nice to be able to use it on this script and not be forced to have to use it on the forum.

Anyway I went and turned quick reply back on in the main forum - and then back off ... NOW its off in the forums but ON in the review script. Very odd, but it seems to be working.

This thread is photopost which has been updated with quickreply for 3 different vb versions and reviewpost has not been so that may be your difference.

Hmmm well it must have been in the cookies because when I logged off and then back on again, the quick reply wasnt there any longer.

So what can I do to get quickreply to work in RP while having it disabled in VB?

I beleive the possible action would be to turn it on in vb as all our products should work the same.

Well, yes then it would work, but I dont want it on in the main forum - I would however like to use it in reviewpost. I guess I'll just have to hack code it to show up, since it doesnt appear to option.

edit - Hmmmmm now it seems to be working again... beats me.

I was wondering the opposite; I would like to keep Quick Reply on in the VB forum, but off in RP?

How would I be able to make this happen?
Thanks,
Warren
