Login info seems to get lost or confused.

I installed ReviewPost with VB3 integration. Everything seemed to be working while I was setting up products and categories. I was logged in as my VB administrator.

I wanted to try logging in as a regular user, to test my security settings and other permissions.

I can't seem to get this to work reliably, or really, at all. If I log out as adminstrator, even on both the forums and RP, and even if I go into Firefox and clear cookies afterwards, I get this effect:

If I log in as the regular user, it *seems* to work. It shows up in the header on the top page. If I then click into a subcategory, the system loses the login information, and I'm back to "guest" mode.

I've reviewed the posts here and under PhotoPost. I'm sure my prefix is set to "bb" in RP, and in VB3. I'm sure the license numbers are identical. I'm at a loss.

Any clues?

Thanks,

Kim

Okay your cookies must match and your license number must be correct not the customer number.

Your vb cookie prefix is in your vb config.php file in their includes directory. You should set cookies like this in both products and your login will work fine.

cookie path /

cookie prefix bb

cookie domain .domain.com

Right. I'm sure they match. I'm sure it's the license number.

Right. They're both bb

Have you tried this (logging is as one user, logging out, logging in as another user?) Because that's when the error happens. If I only ever logged in as administrator (which I have done for two days without problems, so I know the cookies match and the integration is working), I don't have a problem. It's the multiple ID thing that's killing me.

Thanks,

Kim
