Correct file Permmisions

I am running the script on a windows server and I just noticed that someone wiped out my forum on my site. And I am guessing I had the write permissions open. I dont know too much about this but Live and Learn I guess. Anyway I want to know, what are the only folders and files that need to have file permissions set to open?
