Blocking content in Template files

Is there a way to block content from different user groups in the template files? Are the code bits from vbulletin the same in reviewpost?

For example, I want to block a usergroup from viewing all the pictures of a product, versus another usergroup being able to view all the product pictures. Thank you.

Nope the variables used are not the same as vbulletin. You would need to query the database to see what usergroup the user is or some other sort of code mod to do what you wish

Hey Chuck or someone who might be able to help,

I've been trying to do this since yesterday. I can't get it to work. I was thinking it had something to do with this code

Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.
in the showproduct.tmpl file

Please help me, thank you!

That is the part that shows the link to edit a review. You set permissions of what can do what in Admin => Edit usergroups based on usergroups
