RP 3.3 to 3.32 changes

Just upgraded RP from 3.3 to 3.32. I was surprised to see changes to showcat that don't seem to have admin options.

I figured out how to remove the description segments in showcat, but how do I disable the alphanumeric quick-links (see attached screen-shot)? They weren't there in 3.3.

Also, our Per Page pull-down comes up blank, and when I select it, only 48 is available. How do I fix that?

Correction: there are other Per Page values available, but they are white-on-white.

Thanks,
Zig

I dont know why your perpage would be blank. Check to ensure your using all default unedited files and templates or change your style cause I think your issue since noting your correction is one of your stylesheet

As far as removing the alphabet there edit your cathead template and you can remove the html for the alphabet in there

I dont know what you mean by showcat not having admin options it never has.

I've found out why. Seems to be a small bug fix in 3.32:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
So in 3.3, the background color FFFFFF was ignored. Now, in 3.32 it's not.

Yep, it's gone now.

Any time a new feature comes in that changes the look or feel, I think there should be an option to revert to the old behaviour. Example: a new admin option to display showcat quick-links or not would have been nice.

BTW, I've noticed some bugs have reappeared. For instance, HTML is being evaluated in our reviews again, even with the admin option set to No. Also, individual categories cannot be selected for searches. I've got fixes for them when we brought these issues up for 3.3, so no need to post any here.

Thanks,
Zig

RP 3.32 security issue

Chuck,

HTML is being evaluated in revshow.php as well. Can you tell me what to change?

Thanks,
Zig

Yeah, that's why I winked. I'm 42, at home with a sick child myself. Just trying to catch up on some unfinished work.

Chuck,

Was "My Products" dropped from RP 3.32? I don't see that link anymore as a registered user. Not a problem for us, just curious.

Thanks.

Nope it clearly shows on my install

As long as the user is logged in and has upload permission there will be a MY PRODUCTS link.

Ah, I see. Must be a bug fix. We don't allow user uploads, but it shows in RP 3.3 regardless.

Thanks!

I dont see that was changed between the two versions at all so maybe something you coded in. There is not a need to show the link every if the person does not have any products.

Not that I'm aware of.

I've noticed in the RP 3.32 user profile, that "Last Review Posted" row does not have a row name in the bottom table. It's blank. Should I change the string name in english.php to from: 'lastreview' to 'lastreviewpo', or change 'lastreviewpo' to 'lastreview' in members.tmpl? I'm not sure how those variables are used elsewhere.

Thanks,
Zig
