Create Spider Friendly URLs
 

Currently all the page URLs look something like this: ...showproduct.php?product=74&cat=8

Is there a way to make those URLs more spider freindly? With the actual product and category names in the URL?

We have a version of spider friendly urls you can turn on in global options in admin

I found the spider friendly url function, but it I was hoping for something that used the product name in the url.
instead of
http://www.mydomain.com/showproduct.php/product/4/cat/3
It would be much better with
http://www.mydomain.com/console/playstation/

No, that is not something we do out of the box at this time.
