Strange Upload Error

I have had a few people try to upload images with the product they added, but when they do, none of the images show up, they aren't on the server, and the edit screen shows up like the attached screenshots. The letters/numbers in each of the thumbnails are actually the first 6 characters of the image filenames. Any idea why this is happening?

Here is the most obvious things to check

1. make sure safe mode is off on the PHP settings

2. Set your uploads and data directory and EVERY LEVEL BENEATH IT to 777 permissions

then try uploads.

Hi,

I'll have to check out #1, but #2 is fine. These users have had no problem uploading other images of theirs in the same category. It's just two or 3 of theirs that are giving the trouble.

How large is this file?

You can try giving more memory to PHP by entering something like this below the error_reporting line at top of pp-inc.php

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Remember you can not upload a file over 2mb on php without altering the max file upload. My thinking here if your still having an issue and its only one or two files then the file has to be too big and is being dropped or it is crapping out something when uploading.

I think I've fixed it. I had to set my server upload size higher, along with the memory_limit, and a file that was previously having problems seems to work now.

Thanks
