| Moving reviews?
Is there a way to move an individual product review (not entire categories) that may have been added to the wrong place from one category to another?

Hmm. Maybe I'm asking the question incorrectly.
I see how I can move an entire category using the Edit Location link. I also see I can go into admin and use Bulk Move to do the same thing. But those move the entire category. What I want to to is move a single user's product review from Category A where he wrote it and it doesn't belong to Category B, not move all the reviews. Just the one. I can't seem to find a way to do that. Does one exist?

Here's what Chuck is referring to:
Log in as admin.
Navigate to the product you want to move.
Toward the bottom of the product itself, under the Keywords for the product, you will see 'Move Product to' with a pulldown with category selections.
Select the category you want to move the product to.
Hit the submit button.
Hope this helps.

bulkmove and editing one product are two totally separate actions you can not move all category products from the front end.

Hope this helps. | Thanks for taking the time to respond. This is what I was referring to in my second post in this thread. The way you describe will move the entire lot of reviews for that product to a new category. That is NOT what I am seeking to do.
I need to move one single review in that category. I DO NOT want to move all the reviews in the category. Think of it this way: a reader reads a review for a Chevy in the General Motors category then wrote a review on his Ford while still in the GM category. I now want to move that Ford review out of the GM category and into the Ford category where it belongs. I want to leave all the other GM reviews where they are.
So I ask once again... is there a way to do this short of editing entries in the database? And if there isn't, why isn't there?

Sorry, I thought you were asking something different.
I think I see what you are asking for now.
Let's clarify some terms as I think that is likely why everyone answered the way they did.
In your original question, you asked:
__
Is there a way to move an individual product review (not entire categories) that may have been added to the wrong place from one category to another?
__
Based on your last response, what I now think you want is:
Is there a way to move an individual user review from one product to another product?
Products themselves (versus reviews that are associated with a product) are moved from category to category, not user reviews.
Since the first question asked about moving from category to another category, I thought you were referring to wanting to move an individual product review itself (along with all the user reviews since user reviews are attached to a product).
Unfortunately I don't know of a way to move an individual user review without having to manipulate the database directly.

Thanks, I thought the user wanted to move one product review (not all product reviews in a category).
It appears though that they want to move one individual user review within a product review.

You can not move reviews on products they are explicitly posted on a product

This should be added to the suggestions for future features. Since we can't move a comment/review when a user posts to the wrong product... we have to delete it and rewrite it to the correct product.
