Allow fields to parse URLs?

I've generated a new product field, specifically to link users to the corresponding URL of the product, but reviewpost won't automatically hyperlink the url in the new/extra field once the product has been submitted. I want for users to click on it, not highlight it and enter it into their browsers.

I don't want to manually enter the HTML code for parsed URLs every time so how do I fix this?

Okay, I commented on this in this post:
Add fields to the review display?

I need the same thang. The urls must parse when added with html turned off.

Here is an example of a url the way it is viewed when added into a field:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
The "url" bb code is displayed instead of parsing the url to active.

As the originator of this thread had said, we do not want to hand code html tags for all our urls. It would be preferable to be able to just add the url in a field (when submitting a product or editing it) and have it automatically parsed as an active link when viewing the product page.

As it stands, no matter where you enter a url (description or a new field) it does not parse the url. It instead places the url bb code around the url but the url does not become active.

Does this make sense?

Please, can someone help with this? There is no solution in here! I've searched "all" day and have come up empty handed.

url's will parse because of bbcode with html turned off

This is functioning as it should and does not indicate an issue.

Right, it is functioning fine in a review. (as in a reply to a product)
However, not in a product description or other extra fields.

whats that an extra field as it does not look like a description?

I think you just need to download 3.3 and you should be fine. Your probally using an older version.
