RP 3.3: Parent/Child field inheritance prblm

Hi guys,
First of all thanks for such a great software!
Just upgraded to 3.3 from 3.1 (actually made clean RP 3.3 install, new DB, etc.) and found some problem: subcategory cannot inherit all custom fields from its parent. Here are the steps I made:
- created top category (say, "Collections"), added custom field (drop box) with params "single item||collection||other". Set a few custom text fields like "approx price", "content link", etc. Set permissions for products publishing: for registered users and moderators.
Set this category to "apply settings and permissions to all children". Set for this category "contain products": no.
- created ten subcategories for my top category.

The first problem appears here: publishing permissions reset: everybody could publish products, not only reg.users and moderators as it was stated in top category settings. Also, only text fields are inherited; drop down menu is not present in subcategory editpage. If I now try to publish something: custom text fields are present but drop down menu is not.

Any ideas?

You can not inherit the special additional custom boxes to a subcat. They must be set special for each cat.

Category permissions inherit to subcats so if you inherit permissions make sure they are as you want them to inherit ;)

I have the same problem, i think inheritance of the additional fields is a MUST.

Some of us use lengthy additional fields which will require us to spend tons of time adding them to reviewpost.

Definately should be added to next release, it could be a checkbox to make it optional.

Last i have a question, im gonna create a Query to duplicate those fields inside "extrafields" table, and apply the needed changes to "categories ", but which fields are affected inside categories table?

I located one that seems to be needed: numextra, but i have doubts with revextra and ugnoview.

Can you help chuck?

revextra is for review extras. numextra is the right one that needs to be incremented by one if you add an extra for a category.
