Question How Do I...

Make watermarks appear on all uploaded images and not just some of them? I turned watermarks on recently and noticed that some images show the mark while others don't?

Here is an example of an image with a WM http://www.plugreview.com/reviews/sh...hp?product=199

Here is one without http://www.plugreview.com/reviews/sh...hp?product=208

I had WM's set to "Yes" while both images were uploaded, yet one doesn't have the WM?

Thanx in advance for your help!

Well very simple under watermarking options in the categories have you specified which usergroups have there images watermarked. This is quite easily explained if one category allows watermarks and one does not.

I have enabled watermarking and enabled all usergroups for:
These checked usergroups will have their products stamped with your overlay product.
However, still some images do not have watermarks. Even images in the same category some show and some don't show watermarks.

Eg: http://www.animeonline.net/reviews/s...5/limit/recent shows the first image with a watermark yet others in the product review don't.

I use ImageMagick with a gif file image as the watermark. Have also Scan Database -> Check here to watermark unwatermarked files.

Furthermore, I thought watermarking manually changes the underlying image. So what is the use of having only certain usergroups product stamped? Does this only relate to these usergroups uploading and having their images watermarked, or does it mean members in this group will see the watermark?

Any light on this would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Yes only peoples images in usergroups you elect to have images stamped will be stamped so are the images not watermarked belong to users in usergroups you have not able to be marked?

If you look at the link at http://www.animeonline.net/reviews/s...5/limit/recent you will see the first image is watermarket, yet other's aren't. All usergroups have watermark enabled.

Is it not possible to only show watermarks for certain usergroups? Eg: Guest would see a watermark on images, yet Registered members wouldn't. Or is this not how the system works both with ReviewPost and PhotoPost?

The system does not show watermarks based on usergroup. It watermarks images based on the usergroup so it is different.

what version of reviewpost you using?

Oh... ok then. Watermarking functionality would be so much better if it's based on viewing rather than uploading.

I use ReviewPost 3.32.

okay well I did a test with 3.32 and permanent watermarking appears to work fine when uploading files provided I mark that my usergroup gets images watermarked

Yes, it works with me fine when uploading now, but somehow existing images are not all watermarked.
