Review Product Review - Steps - What??

For starters, I am new to ReviewPost so think of my comments as a new user to your ReviewPost (Website).

What you have is software geared towards products rather than a variety of uses that a Review system should be able to incorporate. When posting a review, I went to the correct category and had a hard time figuring out how. I want to post a review so I was looking for something like, "Post a Review". Instead, I found: Upload Product (Why not "Post Review"?) and there are these steps:

Step 1 of 3
Choose the type of Product you want to place:
Regular
Customer Service

Why is this step here? I had no idea what this meant. Do you think the users know what this means or is it just me? If I am in the category already, why is this step here?

So I select one and get this:

Step 2 of 3
Choose the category you wish to place your product:

Only 1 option to choose from here so why is this step included?

(And it takes a good 10 seconds between each selection which is rather long for a simple selection)

Both of these steps could be bypassed since I am already in the category I want to post a review in.

I finally make it to the review page...

"Enter the Product Manufacturer:"

My category is for a customer service, not a product so why can't this reflect the category name? ie: Enter the Store Name:

Why are there upload products field if this is for "Customer Service"?

and again, it says: "What is the title?:" Title of what? (and this should be optional).

Next there is "Item Description" instead of "Store Description" since it relates to Customer Service.

There are two types of templates (Product and Customer Service) and the options should correspond properly according to each.

So, I decided to bring in a family member who is an average web surfer for his feedback. I gave him a mission: Post a review about Dell.com's customer service (seeing as he recently had an issue with them). The results were even worse... he gave up as it didn't make sense to him either.

Reviewpost is Product review software meaning you post products and then users review them.

If you want people to review dell you would post a company named dell as a product

I get that but nothing else relates to Customer Service (using the Customer Service template).

Customer service template has additional ratings in the rating portion of the software. Instead of a generic there are these 3 rating criteria

Overall rating

customer service

So are you saying there is not room for imporovement here? What about all the extra steps that are not needed when you are already in the category?

I find this a bit stupid myself..
If a member is (inside the playstation section) and goes to add a product for review there asked what category to place it in.. Shouldn't it already figure that if your already in a section you want it there like any photopost already does?

No one said there was no room for improvement. You said you did not see how it was customer service so I explained.

You can make a suggestion in the suggestions forum and the next time we go through a beta cycle for the software we can look at suggestions and prioritize them. Most user's know we add features they want to the software especially those that participate in betas

Well there should be maintenance versions of Reviewpost and Classifieds software out in the next couple weeks and make include one or two enhancements but the main structure there will be to bring things into line with the new performance enhancements we fit into Photopost and released with 5.31 of that product so if anything the next version will be a clean up one. I think 3.3 probally topped the cake personally as that brought in unlimited extra fields in products and reviews.
