VBa & RP

I am trying to integrate RP into my VBAdvanced homepage...

Here's what I've done

1. Edited inc_reviews.php & inc_reviewpost.php

2. Added Module in VB Adv.
> Add Module
> Template (adv_portal_reviews)

pasted in

include('/home/user/public_html/reviews/inc_reviews.php');
echo "$reviewpostfeature";

When i go to the VB Adv. index page, the block shows up, but nothing inside? The db is defined in 2 places as shown in inc_reviews.php file...

Amy I missing something stupid?

You need to ensure your creating a PHP BLOCK and you do not create or use a template

I tried creating a PHP block in VBAdv. (which requires the *.php file to be in the "modules" folder inside of forums)

But it creates many errors, mainly becuase it is not located in the reviews folder...

a php sideblock or center block to my knowledge does not need to be in the modules folder. That would just be a module that you need to store there. There should be a sideblock or center block creator that you use to create new blocks that you can show on a module page

You should be able to create a php block. It is how I do it in vbportal and I know user's have done this as well in vbadvanced.

You might want to look at some other hacks to see how they do it

I was having problems with this too. I just got it to work.

1. Create a file with the following contents:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
2. Save it as reviews-module.php or something like that.
3. Upload it to the /forum/modules folder.
4. Create a Module in vBadadvanced admin using PHP File.
5. Fill in the title and where you want the module to appear.
6. Choose the file you uploaded above from the drop down menu.
7. Make sure you check Yes for Clean output.

You should be able to leave everything else as the defaults.
Don't forget to set how many columns and reviews you want displayed in inc_reviews.php.

I've got this working, but I can only select random reviews. If I select latest review this is what happens:

Warning: mysql_fetch_row(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/explorerforum/www/html/reviewpost/inc_reviews.php on line 107

Code:

I show no issue with this in the reviewpost build. The case though is lastest so try this.
