I would think this is what I am going to include. You either use html or bbcode

I've used this code thinking it would help me.

Here is my initial problem:

With html for products turned off:
urls do not get parsed into active links (like I would think it would with bb code)

With html for products turned to on:
With the above code I can use html. However, I don't want to hand code the links for 1,000's of products.

Here is what I need:
I need to be able to just enter a url for a product (ex: http://www.domain.com) and have it automatically parsed without adding code around it.

I have the above code in place since default code didn't work for me.

Can someone please show me the code to use to automatically parse links to active just by entering a url in an extra field I've created? Kind of like if you enter a url in the vb forum it will auto parse it to active....like that.

Pretty please..........

I really need this. I've searched these forums most of the day and have tried so many thangs and nothing is working.

Thanks BUNCHES and have a splendid day/evening

Pst...this person has the safe issue, I believe: Allow fields to parse URLs?

Your example is in a reply/comment/review. Sorry if that is what you thought I meant was wrong. It's not that area I'm concerned about.

I need the product description and extra fields to parse straight urls without adding html tags around them.

Here is my setup:

Business Name:
Description:
Website Address: this is where a straight url is entered and needs to be parsed without adding html tags around it and turning html on

So the outcome would look like so:

Business Name: CallieJo's Business
Description: One of the hottest businesses in our location.
Website Address: http://www.mydomain.com

You see? It's not a review of the product...it's in the product itself.

Thanks for your help. I do so much appreciate it.

Do you have any ideas how to get the urls to parse in either the description or one of the extra fields?

Thanks and have a splendid day

PS - I have all original files except for the one change I implemented above. This is a bran new setup.

The url's parse in the description and extra fields just like they do in the reviews. As I posted in the other thread download Reviewpost 3.3 and test this out.

I just placed a url in here no issue

My current version is: 3.3

The only thing I changed was what was mentioned above besides the english.php file to change name of things.

Therefore, the change I made from above or something else is the matter cause it doesn't do like you post for me and this is a fresh install.

Thanks for your help. I will load the backup and see if that will fix it.
