Cannot disable vb4 integration in Reviewpost

I am using both Photopost and Reviewpost. I tried the vb4 integration with both, but didn't like the customization in vb4 so I disabled them. It worked fine with Photopost, but whenever I select "off" in Do you want to enable the vB3 Integration which uses your vB3 headers, footers and styles?, it switches back to "on" automatically. How can I fix this ?

I am using Reviewpost 5.0.

Are your config files in reviewpost set to 666 permissions so it can be written to?

You can also manually edit the config-intr.php file and set the 3 switches to off.

I set the config files to set to 666 but it still didn't work. I solved the problem by editing and uploading the config-intr.php. But I don't understand why it didn't work from the Control Panel.

Maybe some server restriction that allows one not to change files. Thats what I would suspect.
