When logging out from reviewpost and click on Return to the page you were previously viewing. The link is pointing to the forums index and not the page I was previously viewing

Is there a url here? what version are you running etc.

http://www.photopost.com/forum/photo...-problems.html

That should answer on cookie issues.

The url is: Main Index - My Product Gallery

Try replacing thost sorts with this

Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.

RichardDuboi June 7th, 2009 07:32 PM

Mr Chuck

It will be great if you could tell me where (the files name) I can find thost sorts and replace them...

Please respond to question 3 and 5...

Take a look at the cookie settings in the attached files on post 1

Chuck S June 7th, 2009 08:46 PM

I beleive I answered posts 4 and 5 but anyway as the thread I linked explains. based on your settings double check your vb config file and ensure your cookie prefix is bb and check your vb files and make sure you have entered in the photopost admin config settings the proper vb license number not customer number where asked. Your cookies should be aligned then

As far as most popular that sort I show is called most active and it seems to work on your site.

The sorts I noted above you can try using those sql queries in phpmyadmin on the reviewpost database or if you have reviewpost installed into the vb database you could use the vb sql manager to run those queries.

RichardDuboi June 8th, 2009 08:44 AM

Mr Chuck

1) About most popular... Please take on more look.
Test Spider Urls - Omegatron.net Reviews

There you can see the Most popular option

Inpackning - My Product Gallery

Here you can´t see the Most popular option, instead you have 2 Random.

Is there a reason why there should be two Random choices?

2) About the sql queries in phpmyadmin. I don´t feel comfortable doing that. "I´m just a WYSIWYG guy".
Don´t you just have a file that I can uppload to accomplish that task?

3) On your test site. There is Lowest and Highest price option. How do I accomplish that on my site if I want to?

The correct sorts are the ones shown. I think one or two of the classifieds ones names got mixed up in translations. If your not comfortable in running queries and you have not modified any language strings simply download the build again and upload phrases.php to reimport the phrases and you will be fine.

RichardDuboi June 8th, 2009 02:58 PM

1) I downloaded ReviewPost v4.12 Build: 6/8/09 10:33 AM

2) Uploaded all files (I overwrited all files to make sure) except config-inc.php.NEW and config-intr.php.NEW

3) Called phrases.php to reimport the phrases. Now I have the Most popular option...

But problem 1 and 2 in my very first post still remains and my patience is starting to run out... Why is everything so complicated?

4) You said earlier that based on my settings I should double check my vb config file and ensure my cookie prefix is bb.
I double checked my vb config file and the cookie prefix is bb.

5) You also said earlier that I should check my vb files and make sure I have entered in the photopost admin config settings the proper vb license number not customer number where asked. Your cookies should be aligned then
This is where i´m lost... I´m confused
- What vb files? how many files are we talking about?
- photopost admin config settings? I´m using Reviewpost and not photopost.

I show you can sort by title or manufacturer?

As far as cookies feel free to post a user login so I can see what cookie is created to be able to assist more indepth. The thread I posted is very detailed so I am not sure what cookie issue you would have until I can see the issue.

In vb you set cookies like this

cookie path /

cookie domain .lockigt.com

Your vb cookie prefix is set in your vbulletin config.php file in the includes directory by default it would be bb. You might also find your vb license number at the top of that file or any other vbulletin php file.

In reviewpost admin you set cookies like this

cookie path /

cookie prefix bb or whatever is in your vb config file

cookie domain .lockigt.com

then in your reviewpost config settings you set the correct vb license number where asked.

If this is done your login will be read throughout the forum and reviewpost fine. That way when you login to one you will be logged into both etc.

RichardDuboi June 8th, 2009 03:32 PM

Yes, 2 problems solved

You are right... Sorting by title and manufacturer now works without any MySQL error. Halleluja :)

I will be more than happy for your more indepth help and assistance. I´m sending you a user login. But where should I send the user log in? Obviously not in the forum...

Here maybe? http://www.photopost.com/ppost_contact.pl

The Reviewpost installation is an test installation, so feel free to do what you want... Try to write an review in Internet Explorer

When trying to write a review, the input flieds and the smilies in the drop down box are align to the center instead of the left in Internet Explorer. This is not the case at the test site: http://www.omegatron.net There everything is align to the left. i´m using Internet Explorer 7.0.

Chuck S June 8th, 2009 08:14 PM

well hard for me to test with IE 7 as I am using 8 but will look at that

You can send a login there sure.

RichardDuboi June 8th, 2009 11:46 PM

The Log in information has now been sent to you. Itīs time for me to go to bed now. Iīve worked all night...

Chuck S June 9th, 2009 12:02 AM

I do not see anything wrong with your cookies.

I have locked in the forum or reviewpost both and both applications are logged in I hit logout and am logged out.
