Index thumbnail
It looks like..

The index thumbnail can only be made from photo 1
No other photos can be selected to be index thumbnails.

I have 2 photos under one product Photo1.jpg and photo2.jpg

Photo1.jpg is allways the one that shows as a index thumb. Even thou I Open Photo2.jpg and mark it as my thumb..

You can not mark the second image as the avatar. You mark the product itself as the avatar and the first image is the placeholder for the avatar hense it will always be the avatar
