Angry All Of My Products & Reviews Are Gone After Upgrade!!!

Chuck,

Check out The Cayman Club and the articles section which is ReviewPost. I upgraded from 3.33 to 4.0 today (BTW the upgrade.php script says 3.2 to 3.4, there is no option for going to 4.0). After the upgrade my Index is SCREWED UP. Not a single category is listed. I went into the admin area and everything looks as it should in the admin area, just nothing shows up!

BEfore you ask, Yes I followed the upgrade instructions exactly. I uploaded ALL of the files, being careful not to overwrite the ones that should not be overwritten - /*.php (except config-inc.php, config-int.php, inc_reviews.php, inc_reviewpost.php, install.php)

I have sent you my FTP and login information before when I had a problem with the Classifieds upgrade, it is very disheartening to see this fail out of the box like this.

Can you please provide a fix ASAP!

Thanks!

I just tried to access one of my categories:

Message - My Articles

And it tells me I don't have permission !!! WTH???

I go into admin and edit the category, I check the permissions there, yep I have them, yep I'm an admin. Then I go into the usergroup permissions and check those, yep I have permission there as well too!

So yeah, 4.0 is HOSED!!! it doesn't understand permissions correctly!

HELP!!!!!!

Chuck please address as soon as you can after you get back from vacation, I'm getting beaten up by members who needed access to items stored in reviewpost on our server this weekend and they cannot access them...

I hope you have backup your database before upgrade.
If Chuck is on holiday I suggest you restore your database.
Before restore the database upload all files from 3.33 to your server
(Downgrade)
It must work again.
Ask support when Chuck is back from holiday or when 3.33 again works you can try to upgrade again.

I'm sure I have a backup of my complete database but I wouldn't know which tables would need to be restored just for ReviewPost, I can't simply restore say the entire database from 2 days ago or all my forum messages, etc. would disappear from the most recent 2 days. Besides I don't think anything is damaged with the upgrade, it seems either that the code just isn't correct in some of the php files and/or values stored in the database tables aren't what they should be. I'd rather give Chuck a chance to "fix" the problem so he can create a fix for everyone and fix the product, hopefully he will be back soon.

Aha I got it fixed!!! I found that the FTP software didn't transfer the stuff in the Review\Forums directory. I thought no big deal I don't use the forum stuff in ReviewPost. Bzzz WRONG, other code in ReviewPost relies on the code in the Forum sub directory whether you use those forums or not! I copied up the new files and everything seems to be working thus far!

Woot! 2 points for mE!

If everything was missing I would assume you ran an upgrade you where not suppose to twice. I know alot of people did this on older photoposts when the file structure changed.

I am glad you had backups and sorted this issue.
