Additional field not applying to children
 

I am having a problem with the additional field type of the parent not applying itself to the children. It will apply itself to the children present when the the additional field was first created but it will not apply itself to any new children that are created at a later time. When editing the parent I have added several additional field types and I have also checked the box at bottom of page to apply to children but it does not work. Extra fields 1 through 6 work great but nothing on the additional fields.

Correct this is the default operation. You can create an additional field and apply it to children categories but its not going to automatically apply to future categories you would create as subcats. It only applies to subcats that exist when you create that additional extra field and hit apply to subcats.
