| RP 3.3: Product Notifications always twice
Hi
Reviewpost 3.3.
I changed in the upload template the standard setting for Product Notifications from "no" to "yes" (for: Want to be notified by email when users post replies?). This works fine.
a) I only encounter the problem, that if a user uploads a product, he has in his profile twice the Product Notifications for the same product, not once as it should.
b) if I want to delete this second notification, I get the following error:
"Script not called correctly. Navigate to a specific product, then click on the edit link."
But if I go to the product and hit on "Edit Product", theer is no possibility to change e-mail notifications.
If I go to the product and hit "disable e-mail notification", it deletes both notifications for this product at the same time.
I modified in the excat same way the template file of PP 5.31 and there is not such a problem.
How can I fix this?
Thanks in advance

update:
I installed the download of today without changing the original template file.
If I upload a product and choose e-mail notification during upload, it saves in my profile only one notification for this product, which is good.
c) If I want to unsubscribe within my profile from it, I get first a success alert (e-mail updates) and then the error:
"Script not called correctly. Navigate to a specific product, then click on the edit link."
d) After that I tried to change the uploadproduct.tmpl as before, but this time my usual exchange of "yes" and "no" shows no affect at all:
----
<tr>
<td class="{$Style['tddetails']}" align="left"><span class="{$Style['small']}">{$Globals['pp_lang']['notify']}</span></td>
<td class="{$Style['tddetails']}" align="left"><select name="notify"><option selected="selected" value="no">{$Globals['pp_lang']['no']}</option><option value="yes">{$Globals['pp_lang']['yes']}</option></select></td>
</tr>
----
How can I fix both?

You want to clarify what your asking here as it is hard to follow?
If I hit unsubscribe of a product when viewing my profile I get successful message and the product is unsubcribed. You do not get this?
As far as D are you asking about some hack?

I have a similar issue when I try to unsubscribe from E-mail Notifications from my MEMBER PROFILE page. I check the box(es) of the products I no longer want to be notified of, hit the unsubscribe button, get the "Notifications Updated" message, then am presented with the "Script not called correctly. Navigate to a specific product, then click on the edit link." message.

Sorry for this confusion. The first posting was with my old installation (End of April 2006). After I got the hint, that many files changed inbetween (without refreshing of the date/time stamp in the download section), I downloaded this package again yesterday night and overwrote all my old files.
So forget the fist posting with a) and b) and lets concentrate on c) and d)
Regarding d)
I found the problem with my old hack (yes/no exchange): it has to be changed in 2 files in templates directory. in uploadproduct.tmpl and in uploadproduct1.tmpl. Now it is working.
Regarding c)
The error appears even with the newest package installed

I overwrote all my old files with the newest download file as of yesterday.
I tested this functionality afterwards before I changed the tmpl. files again. And the error appeared also with the untouched fresh installation (but obvioulsy with the same database as the old installation of edn of April).

Script not called correctly. Navigate to a specific product, then click on the edit link.

Just after I verified this, I made my small change in the tmpl files again.
But I will send you the url, just to be sure...

Hi Chuck,
Would you be able to test the following flow on your installation?
1) Go to your MEMBER PROFILE page
2) Check a box of the product I no longer want to be notified of
3) Click the unsubscribe button
I get the "Notifications Updated" message, then am redirected to a "Script not called correctly. Navigate to a specific product, then click on the edit link." message.
Thanks,
Cary
