Style image paths incorrect with VB3.5.1 integration.(NOT A BUG)

All of the paths in the "config-intr.PHP Integrations Variables" menu are correct.

All three "VB3 Integration" options are set to "On"

The _colors_ of the VB style I'm using are there, but the images are not -- err most images... the only image I see being used from my Style is collapsed_tcat.gif and collapse_tcat_collapsed.gif

The PPClassifieds installation used the proper image paths & displayed the images from my style without a problem, so I guess you guys weren't consistent with the paths you used between the different products.

Hello

We do not autotranslate custom Vbulletin styles if this is what you mean.

We auto rewrite the normal vb relative paths

If your using a custom theme go to styles admin in vb and make the relative paths full url.

Then why does it work fine in PP Classifieds?

Or is it working fine in PP Classifieds considered a bug of PP Classifieds and it should really NOT being working as it does not in ReviewPost since ReviewPost is the older, more developed product?

There is a reason that styles use relative paths instead of full URLs to any one persons specific installation.

Well you should know why relative paths in VB will not work within our installation

Like I said I have not seen a url here yet to confirm or deny what is going on but simply posting a response based on the data you have given me.

This type of behavior would not be a bug. If the images are in a special directory in your forums images directory we do not autorewrite and the style uses relative urls then the images will not show in the application

The solution is as I posted.

I just realized my oversight here.

I had created a symlink in the classifieds directory to my non-standard image directory & forgot to do it for RP (that is why the images show up in ppClass)

I think that will work as the better fix for this for me.

No problem anyway you want to do it

Majority of users do no know how to create symbolic links so we point them to the easy solution

Well... no time like the present to show them how.

From shell:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
That will create a symbolic link (think "virtual directory") in your classifieds folder looking something like:

style-imagedir@ -> /full/path/to/your/style-image-dir

yes you and I know what is going on but the majority of users do not have Shell access.
