Build Date: 9/29/05 4:43 PM Build

With the release of vBulletin 3.5 Gold, an update was made to the build for Reviewpost 3.1 to accommodate a couple changes.

The files that changed from the initial release are:

adm-product.php
editproduct.php
index.php
pp-inc.php
uploadphoto.php

templates/reviewspal.tmpl
templates/sidebar_leftopen.tmpl
templates/sidebat_rightclose.tmpl

templates/vb3enhanced/reviewspal.tmpl
templates/vb3enhanced/indexstats.tmpl

Fixes include:
. vB3.5 Gold issue when vB and PP are in separate databases

Also included fixes for:
. Reviews PAL cache refresh using wrong permissions
. Force refresh of cache when new products are uploaded (forces Recent Products to update immediately)
. Force refresh of cache when a product is deleted (forces Recent Products to update immediately)
. Regular sidebar templates files had initial call to calpal.php which was since moved to a template file.

Had some problems with the new scripts with vb 3.05

Invalid SQL:
SELECT smilietext, smiliepath, smilieid FROM smilie

mysql error: Table 'indiamik_reviewpost.smilie' doesn't exist

mysql error number: 1146

Date: Thursday 29th of September 2005 08:45:50 PM
Script: http://www.indiamike.com/reviews/sho...8/cat/7/page/1
Referer: http://www.indiamike.com/reviews/showcat.php/cat/7

and has to dump the new pp-inc.php and go back to the old one.

Quickcom.tmpl in the vbenhanced folder was also changed from the earlier build and also had to revert back to that one to.

Will post more on Friday since it's past bedtime (and the wife is yelling).

You would need to download the build that was posted this afternoon and upload it

This announcement is the official fix which fixes the issue you posting about

Fixes include:
. vB3.5 Gold issue when vB and PP are in separate databases

indiamike September 30th, 2005 04:04 AM

this was from the latest build, the 4.43 one, and when I updated it with the newer files from the list above it produced the error. I am still using the older 3.0x series (3.05 in my case) and not the newer version of vbulletin.

I will have to upload and check it again but I think the changes in the pp-inc.php may be the cause of it.

(I know that this should be seperate in the bugs forum--I gotta go to work so no time)

Chuck S September 30th, 2005 12:14 PM

4.43? what is that?

The port fix was for 3.5 and there should be no issues with 3.0 series of VB

I do not get any errors if I visit your install

indiamike September 30th, 2005 08:06 PM

Sorry Chuck,

4:43 is the time that the latest build was added on that day on on 9/29, I tend to label mine with the time of the I download just to keep track if there is the chance of some changes throughout the release.
There is no errors when you visited since I used the ppinc.php from the earlier build from that day.

The build earlier in the day had this in pp-inc.php

Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.
The build later in the day the 4:43 pm build has
Code:

Content visible to verified customers only.

I am not sure of what the host_bb:3306 does when I use the earlier build pp-inc.php it seems to run fine, however when I use the later build I get a database error that I listed above.

This only occurs when you go to view a product.

The quickcom.tmpl may also be buggy since if I use the older ppinc.php from earlier in the with the later quickcom.tmpl I get --

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_SL in /home/indiamik/public_html/reviews/templates/vb3enhanced/quickcom.tmpl on line 212

So I had to keep the older ppinc.php and the old quickcom.tmpl to keep it from showing errors both from an earlier release of reviewpost 3.1

I will double check my files and uploaded them again over the weekend to see if something got added wrong.

I hope it makes sense and it makes my head spin keeping track of it, however if no one else is reporting this then it must be something on my end and I will try to double-check everything and be clearer in future posts.
