Incorrect Links to Categories and Products

The problem I'm having is the links are showing up like this http://www.getgamer.com/reviews/showcat.php/cat/4
instead of the correct way.

All of the links are like this. Check it out for your self.

Could it be that spider friendly URLs is on in the admin panel?

Yes your server does not handle spider url's in Global Options you may turn them off and you will be fine.
