Arg. Problems abound!

Alright, I'm not quite sure if i've buggered this all up myself, but i am at wit's end here.

I have a few problems.

First, the reviews are not updating properly. I have upgraded to 2.84, but none of the new reviews are showing up.

If you check the index page, you see this:

http://www.dropmachine.com/reviews/members/index.php

First, if you click on any of the catagories, it doesn't show the contents of said catagory. That sucks.

As well, there is a new review under suspension, dual crowns, that doesn't show up at all on the index page. A few have slipped through like that, they just don't show up unless you go to the specific catagory.

Also, I've buggered the template, and as you will see, the first line in the catagory is the wrong color. Can you tell me how i might fix that?

Thanks much!

When I click on categories, I get the contents of the categories as I would expect. The dates also appear to show the proper dates for the Suspension cateogry.

You must have changed the class type for a parent category inside the cateogories.tmpl tempalte file. Check the original against your current one to see what you might have changed. Possibly on line 119.

Thanks for the help Michael.

I'mnot sure if I am confused though, maybe I am expecting something more.

When i click on Suspension, and it shows me that catagory, I expect to see the thumbnails for all the reviews in the sub-catagories at the bottom. Is that not correct?

Regarding the template, I have to admit I am mighty confused when it comes to editing those things. I've tried deleting all the tmpl files and uploading unedited ones, but it hasn't done a thing. I looked at line 119 as you mentioned, but again, to me is gibberish, and I couldn't spot anything wrong.

Thanks again.

On reviews did you go to moderate reviews and approve the reviews as they will not show till you do that on the last review count

If you have set to display unapproved reviews they show in the cat but the index is not updated till they are approved reviews

Thanks Chuck!

I clicked moderate reviews, and approved all of them. I did notice something that I guess should have been incredibly blatantly obvious, but I just wasn't thinking. If a user uploads a new product with no pic, it doesn't show up in the recent products listing below. I find that I look at that before anything else, and I think it threw me off. I rarely check the actual "last product uploaded" column.

Is there a way to get review post to list products in that "recent products" part without a pic being incuded? Perhaps it can default to the standard thumbnailnot available pic?

Also, did my post about the thumbs in catagories make sense? I am worries that it was all gibberish i posted.

Ideally what I would like is that when you click on any of the catagories listed on the main page, it would show thumbs for the products in that catagories sub-sections.

eg, on my site when you are on the index and click suspension, itwould show everything in the suspension listings, including sub catagories.

Appreciate the help guys, good job.

Yes the product is only coded to display new products in most recent that has thumbs just the way its coded.

wanting features on the showcat page etc is most likely coming in the next version as we are currently in a development cycle for reviewpost
