Can't edit reviews.

As an admin I wanted to edit or delete certain reviews, however whenever I click the edit button on someone's review it just refreshes the page. Will this bug be fixed & when will these features be implemented?

I can edit reviews just fine. Try making sure you have all the new files uploaded if this was an update

I can recreate the same issue.

If I click edit on a page with the regular url it works fine

.php?whatever=this

however it doesn't work from the spider friendly url

.php/whatever/this

not sure why.

ok I know why it does it now.

the url given when edit is clicked is relative, not absolute. On a spider friendly URL it therefore points at an incorrect url (no file exists).

eg;

http://www.website.net/reviews/showp...duct=6&cedit=6

instead of the correct;

http://www.website.net/reviews/revie...duct=6&cedit=6

Can a developer say when this bug will be fixed?

This is not a bug in the software. There are thousands of threads on spider urls and server issues.

If your having issue with spider url's your server does not support them and you simply need to turn spider url's off.

omegatron just a small suggestion...

instead of saying things like "it works fine for me" or "no bugs in our software" you should try to offer some support suggestions... try to actually resolve a problem instead of saying you have no problem... thats great if you have no problem but that doesnt resolve mine. and obviously I did some checks in the uploaded files to see what was wrong before coming here. also I did search for this however nothing came of help to fix the issue in question.

just some things i've noticed on these supposedly support forums.

kesomir has actually helped me resolve the issue somewhat however... thanks kesomir.

<a href="reviews.php?product=$product&amp;cedit={$reviewnum[$x]}"><img src="{$Globals['idir']}/edit.gif" border="0" alt="{$Globals['pp_lang']['editdel']}" /></a>
