vBulleting metatags appearing on category pages I was browsing our newly upgraded test system using RP5.0 Beta 3 and saw an interesting event. There are a few categories that have URLs (HTML) imbedded in the category description. With vBulletin integration turned on (we did not test turning it off), the categories that had URLs in the category description showed a portion of the metatags, specifically the description tag, at the top of the page. It only appears on categories that have html imbedded in the category description. This is the errant text that is showing up at the top of the page: Timeshare Resorts in Mexico, A timeshare user group, a free timeshare forum featuring information on timeshare resorts, resort reviews, buying and selling timeshare, classified ads, and auctions. Post your question or comment, start an auction, or write a review about your most recent vacation travels, sale or rental experience." /> You can see the page in operation here Timeshare Resort Reviews-Mexico-TimeshareGateway.com Unfortunately, I cannot give you a link to the test system as it shares the same domain on a non-published server. However I am attaching an image for your review. Code: Content visible to verified customers only.Thanks. |
Added details Here is the actual text that was embedded in the category description of one of the categories causing the problem. <a href="http://www.timesharegateway.com/Jamaica.php">Timeshare Resorts in Jamaica</a>Once this field was reset to plain text, the problem goes away. |
Maybe place the line in bold above the noted line in showcat.php Code: Content visible to verified customers only. |
