License Agreement Question

Since I haven't had any luck here or at PhotoPostDev regarding a question about running a contest with the script or finding a similar question/answer, I figured I would ask a license agreement question here.
To give you some background on what I want, basically all I am looking to do is have one category where users can submit photos on a particular topic and the other users can vote. The top rated person wins. With my current installation, since I have other categories if I were to just add this category to it, people rating and commenting on other categories would get added into the contest results as well. I want them to still be able to rate other photos, but I also want a seperate rating just for the contest. From everything I have read, basically it doesn't seem very possible right now without some MAJOR coding, which no one seems willing to help with.
What would solve this is if I were able to run another instance on the same domain using the same database. This would seperate the two rating systems and allow me to do what I want to do. Basically this is how it would be:
Current Site - http://www.mydomain.com/photoposta
Contest Site - http://www.mydomain.com/photopostb

From reading the license agreement, it doesn't seem that this is permissible, but I would like some clarification since it is on the same domain and uses the same database. Or would I have to buy a new license just to do this? Thanks!

Ratings are on a per photo basis. So if 30 users rate the photo the rating changes with it.

You can write a short script pal box to poll the results just in one category of Photo's to display the top rated highest to lowest.

So I dont see where your going with saying ratings are messed up when you have other categories.

As far as the license question you may not have two installs per license even if they share one database. License states one install per domain per license.

I'm not saying the ratings are messed up. They do perform exactly as they are intended, just for all galleries. Certainly if I knew how to code well enough to do this, a PAL which would pull the results from just ONE specific category would be sufficient for what I need

No the ratings are displayed for each Photo right on showphoto. I still dont follow you as there are no overall galleries ratings. The ratings in Photopost are for each and every photo and that has nothing to do with cats.

Creating a specific pal for this would be rather easy. If you are unable to do this you can contact me for a quote on the minor cost involved in writing that up. Send it to the email listed in my signature and specify the rating criteria if from the norm. I think currently ratings are sorted by the rating then the number of photo views.

Oh well... nevermind. I just learned some mySQL conditionals and edited it so that it ties in with the Highest Rated PAL. I now have it so that only the category numbers I specify will be included in the output.

One thing though... is there anything that keeps a running count of the total number of votes made?

Not on the breakdown you want. You want a sum of votes per photo

You would need to write a script or run mysql queries against the database or again adjust the query you have to add comment counts in the rating pal
