Photopost8 Permissions

I am obviously overlooking something in the Photopost8 permissions: Please set me straight :)

vBulletin4 and photopost8
Moving from vbgallery to photopost8.

My gallery is private therefore unregistered users cannot see the gallery: This is working.
After importing the user-groups from vbulletin4, it seems that the user-group options are not working. Everyone has access to everything. Since no one else has a complaint in this area I know it is me.

Is there a master override I have missed.

Also, I am not talking about gallery-index. Since I do know everyone can see that. At least that is what I have read here in the forums. My understanding is that the user-groups supersede the finer control in the edit-categories.

The way permissions work is this

master permissions are set in usergroup permissions for uploading commenting etc. You can refine those permissions in category permissions.

You as admin will always see everything maybe thats your issue?

Update: I hunted down the problem to the category cache. The problem was due to the category cache being stuck. It was never updating, anyway I cleared out the cache by setting it off and then re-enabled it. Maybe it was corrupted -- Anyway it now works as it is suppose to and the category cache is updating on the set interval. :)

Now I am on to the on-the-fly watermarking. I am using the watermarking script to make it a bit more difficult for saving photos. I am guessing you are putting a clear filter on the top... But just started on this... Haven't looked at the code as-of-yet.

Thanks for the previous reply.

PS: The permissions work nicely in v8.

I do not see a question about on the fly watermarking here so not sure what you are asking.

Sorry, for the confusion. It was a statement.

Not a problem was just making sure there wasn't something else I was suppose to respond to. ;)
