My Messages going to the wrong person

A user brought this to my attention.

User "photogirl" noticed that user "mrs.p" comments are showing up in her "My Messages".

So.. mrs.p posts a photo to her gallery, people respond to it, and those comments end up showing up in photogirls "my messages". It is only mrs.p's comments showing up in photogirls My Messages though, no one else's.

What could be going on?

Maybe you switches integrations? That would be my guess and if so I would suggest you clear your messages table and start fresh.

No, we haven't switched integration. It's been set up the same way for 5 years.

well I think I would need alot of detailed information to comment. Off the top of my head beside the one issue noted above I do not see how you could have some userid mixup especially with one user.

basically a message is sent from a users userid when they are logged in so we know that has to be correct and then the senders userid should be recieved from the profile the person is viewing and sending the message from. These are usually absolute values here.

I'm sorry you're confused on why this issue could happen. What information do you need from me to help you clear up your confusion?

I have logged into photogirls account and have viewed her "My Messages".

When photogirl goes to My Messages, logged in as photogirl, she sees the following (This is pulled directly from Photogirl's log.. this is not Mrs.Peel's log). The one's that are highlighted in red are actions that Mrs.Peel has performed but are showing up on Photogirl's My Messages. As you can see from this log, she is seeing all the information that MrsPeel is doing in her gallery. This shouldn't be happening.

I do not see anything wrong with any of these notifications. MrsPeel did indeed upload a new photo.

These look like notifications so photogirl has elected to recieve notifications of when new photos or comments have been posted to various categories.

None of these look out of place here when your talking about various notifications users can sign up for.

Thank you. We don't use the buddy system within Photopost, so for us, this wasn't normal behavior.

Yeah well its not really buddy system thats simply the subscription thing which has been a part of the software for ever. Guess the user forgot they subscribed to categories and forgot they asked to be informed when someone uploaded photos to said categories.
