Problems with contest

I'm running into a couple of problems with some photo contests I am running.

1. I have a custom usergroup for people with more than 5 posts. In the photopost category admin, I've specified only certain usergroups can vote and made certain "registered members" cannot vote. The problem is people in the "registered members" usergroup are still able to vote. Why

2. Since they have been able to vote, I need to delete there votes. I noticed that anytime a vote is cast, photopost posts a blank comment. If we delete this comment, will the vote tally go down by one?

Have you imported all custom vb usergroups into photopost usergroup editor and then under edit category permissions set accordingly to vote?

Remember if a user is part of multiple groups the best possible solution is used meaning if one group can vote and there other group cant then they will be able to vote.

Thanks for the response. Yes I've done all of that. Even triple checked it. The usergroup that is not allowed to vote is "registered members" which is the default usergroup. They don't belong to any other usergroup, but they can still vote. It makes no sense.

And is there an answer for my second question:
2. Since they have been able to vote, I need to delete there votes. I noticed that anytime a vote is cast, photopost posts a blank comment. If we delete this comment, will the vote tally go down by one?

I think I will need to address that with a release of 7.03 shortly as it requires several file updates.

Is that for the first problem or second?

I just deleted the comment votes for the picture, but it still displays 6 votes, when it should only have 1. Is there an easy way to get it to display the correct amount of votes? I tried to "resync photo/comments usernames/update comments counts." in the scan database admin area.

I went through all the posts above, but I don't see the answer to my second question. Could you please point it out to me?

ok thought I had answered that and then simply posted an answer to number 1

as to number 2 yes simply delete the blank comment on the photo as with any comment you do not want.
