6.23 I think you mean and that displayed 7 down the side as there never was a 6.3.
Anyway in admin => show photo options you can set whether you want 1 or 3 rows of previews so setting that to 1 will show it the way it use to.

Yes ... 6.23, I missed the 2 there!
But we do want 3 rows of previews on the index pages ... we just do not want 20 previews down the side on the showphoto page.
Let me try your setting, though - it just doesn't sound like the name of it is what I'm looking at.

It worked ...! You're a champ!
So, someone make a note somewhere for the next revision to rename that sucker or make it a little clearer.
I still only really want 5 images, but ... I will figure that out.
Thanks Chuck!

I have a similar problem but my Show photo Options doesn't have a setting to specify how many rows. I can set the position of it but nowhere can I see to change from 3 to 1 rows.
Can you help?

If your running 7.x series there is indeed an option to select 1 or 3 rows of next/prev thumbs in the show photo options in admin.

Belgrael ... the solution as Chuck described it up top doesn't seem logical, but it worked. I was trying to over-think it. It just didn't SAY what I thought it should say to accomplish my interpretation of the end results. When I just did what he said ... it was good.
