Uploading ZIP Files

I allowed ZIP file uploads via the "Do you want to allow ZIP uploads?" options, but when I try to upload it, nothing happens. Basically what I'm trying to do is upload a zip file of a couple images so users can download the zip file.

Is this possible, if not, what exactly is this upload ZIP option anyways?

Are you using the regular uploader or the normal upload process. For example I dont think the flash uploader only does normal images
