Out of memory

One of my members is experiencing this error when he tried to upload:
fatal error allowence memory size of 104857600 bytes exusted tried to allocate 32000 bytes in home/ picturez/ public html/gallery/image-inc.php on line 116

Now I have added a line to uploadphotos.php to set the memory of php to 40mb but the problem is still apparent.
He managed to time out php initially by uploading a picture of 10240 x7680... Umm a biggy!
This is only effecting this one user all other members are ok as far as I know.

Any ideas please?

all you can do is give more memory or possibly try using imagemagick if your server has it installed

Hi Chuck... 40mb is quite high already I thought..... ah just had a thought.... I have the memory set at 32mb in htaccess am I right in thinking that adding more memory in the script is pointless as htaccess will supersede it?
